In the morning you know who to call back, and why
Medical practice or multi-specialty clinic
The practice closes at 7 PM, but the phone keeps ringing: someone wants to talk to the doctor, someone asks about an insurance plan, and sometimes someone is really unwell. The answering machine fills up with half messages, missing a number or a name. In the morning the receptionist listens to them one by one and doesn't know where to start.
What you check

Frequently asked questions
What if the caller is really unwell?
If they describe serious symptoms, the assistant only tells them to call 112 or go to the emergency room, and that if they leave their name a doctor will call them back. A red banner appears in the dashboard. It gives no advice and asks no questions about symptoms. At night the practice only sees the banner when it opens, which is why 112 comes first.
Does it give out test results?
No. It logs a callback for the doctor with the reason the patient gave. Reports and clinical data stay with the practice.
How do calls reach the assistant when we're closed?
That's set up with the practice's phone system: forwarding after hours, when the line is busy, or always. It's configured at your practice, along with the dashboard where you find the night's calls.
Does the patient get a written confirmation?
No, today the assistant doesn't send texts, WhatsApp messages or emails. It tells the patient out loud that the practice will call back, and the practice makes the call starting from the dashboard.
