You post an ad for a seasonal receptionist and in a week about fifty resumes come in, by email, job portals and photos on WhatsApp. You read the first ten carefully and skim the rest, and the best candidate may have been the thirty-fourth.

Frequently asked questions
Does it give candidates a score?
No. The AI Act classifies systems that evaluate or filter candidates as high risk, and here the choice stays with you: the system only tells you what's there and what's missing compared to your requirements.
What about candidates' privacy?
Before starting, the privacy notice for candidates needs to be updated and the setup checked with whoever handles privacy for the business. Resumes are kept only for those who gave consent, for the time stated in the notice.
Does it also read photos of resumes?
Yes, if they're legible. If they're crooked or blurry, it asks the candidate for a better file, and meanwhile the resume stays in the table with a note to read it by hand.
Does it look at age and photo?
No. It reads languages, experience, software known and availability, and ignores photo, age, name and origin.
