Takeout orders on WhatsApp, the phone stays free

Takeout pizzeria

On Friday night the phone rings while you're shaping pizzas. Whoever has been waiting on the line for five minutes hangs up and orders somewhere else. Whoever orders from the delivery apps costs you a commission on every pizza, and the app has their number, not you.

Ordini su WhatsApp anche nel pieno del piccoNon promette più pizze di quante il forno ne reggeIl numero del cliente resta alla pizzeria

What you check

Similar cases

The same automation logic applied to other kinds of business:

1Rotisseries with a packed Sunday lunch
2Kebab and sandwich shops with orders to pick up on the lunch break
3Pizza-by-the-slice shops that prepare trays to order for parties

Frequently asked questions

Does it connect to my register?

The ticket can come out of a printer in the kitchen without touching the register. Getting into the register is only possible if the register has an open connection: Cassa in Cloud and Tilby have one, for the others we check.

What about orders from Deliveroo, Glovo or Just Eat?

They stay on the apps like today. The system works on your WhatsApp: whoever orders there leaves their number with the pizzeria, and with their consent you can contact them again.

What if the customer has an allergy?

The order stops and goes to the pizza maker, who answers himself. The system never says on its own whether a pizza is fine for someone with an allergy.

How much does WhatsApp cost?

The official Meta APIs are used on a pizzeria number. Today replying within 24 hours to someone who wrote to you is free; promotional messages are paid per message, with templates approved by Meta.
