Shifts follow the customers, the counter stays covered

Pharmacy

On Saturday morning the line goes out the door and in the afternoon four of you are tidying shelves. Meanwhile you have to fit in the Sunday on duty, the on-call night, the rest for whoever worked it and the free afternoon Anna asked you for. You redo the shift sheet every week from memory, and there always has to be a pharmacist at the counter.

What you check

I turni partono dagli ingressi.

Similar cases

The same automation logic applied to other kinds of business:

1Parapharmacies, to cover peak hours with the right staff
2Opticians, to guarantee the optometrist during exam hours
3Medical supply stores, to always have someone at the counter who can do aid fittings

Frequently asked questions

Does it rate employees based on how much they sell?

No. Shifts are built from foot traffic, contracts and requests. The system doesn't look at how much or how fast each person sells and doesn't assign scores to people.

Where does it get the area's on-duty shifts?

From the calendar the pharmacy receives at the start of the year, loaded once into the sheet. If it changes during the year, you update it.

Do I need a people counter?

No. Receipts with the time, exported from the register software, are enough; the format is checked on your software.

Who decides shift swaps?

The owner. Swap requests come to them with the rules check already done, and the shift changes only after their yes.
